Encouragement from Ben #8 – The beauty in the cross

Hey friend!

Today's Topic: The beauty in the cross

Have you heard the message of the cross of Jesus? Have you truly understood what it means that Jesus, the son of God was sent on your behalf to redeem your life and give you a gift you could never repay? I want to tell you briefly about the message of the cross!

A perfect God coming in the form of a man being hung on what is the worst possible way to be executed, all for what? To get more glory? To receive praise from us? No, to allow us to be free from death, from sin and the grave. From the bondage of depression, of darkness, of everything that is wicked.

Jesus Christ came and while we were stuck in sin, He saw past that. He saw a redeemed YOU, He saw someone that had purpose, someone that would become a LIGHT in darkness, someone that would look like HIM. That is your destiny, someone that looks and reflects JESUS, the son of GOD!

Can you even begin to comprehend the love that Jesus has for you, its beyond just faith, Love never fails. Love allowed him to see through the pain of the cross and buy your salvation. 1 Corinthians 1:18 is one of my favorite verses in the whole Bible, it says "For this message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to US who are being saved, it is the power of God!"

Is your life in turmoil? Are you going through a hard time? I have news for you! Look to the cross, have faith in Jesus and implant faith back into the core of your being that you won't be shook. That Jesus didn't die for you to end up a failure. John 10:10 says, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly!"

This is my prayer for you today just as David prayed "Lord restore the joy of my salvation" I pray that a joy of the salvation given to you by Jesus Christ would be so much more real and that people would begin to see you shining because the word says, "YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD".

If you haven't called on Jesus to be saved, I pray you would as it will be the best decision you make!

"...the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." — James 1:2–4
